This edition focuses on the contents and programme of ‘From Beijing to London’, a 2012 exhibition of contemporary Chinese architecture at The Building Centre in London, along with the experiences and dialogues that arose as a result. Included are a variety of texts by practitioners in the field, including Peter Cook, Martha Schwartz, Zaha Hadid, Wang Hui, Hugh Pearman, Gao Yan and many others. A number of Chinese architects also contribute opinions and perspectives on the state of architecture in their country today. Includes features on notable projects in China, as well as interviews, essays and numerous images, models and drawings.
