This issue is devoted to Swiss architecture and features three practices based in the north of the country, in Fribourg, Basel, and Winterthur; respectively, Deschenaux Architects, Felippi Wyssen, and Marazzi Reinhardt. The first was founded in 2016 and operates in an area where the identity is still very rural, making the office sensitive to the varied local topographies and constructive honesty. The second was founded in 2009 and has since developed work in a range of scales and tasks, from new buildings to urban planning. The third practice started in 2004 and, strongly characterised by a personal interest in craftsmanship, is known for carefully considered but powerful interventions.
