In 2004 Norbert Schöbel had the idea to walk from his adpotive home, Brussels, to his native city, Munich. But in fact he and his partner Thorsten Baensch ended up continuing from Munich to Prague, to Berlin, and Hamburg, and returning to Brussels. A walk of more than 3,000 kilometres, in a closed circle across Central Europe in 155 stages, over a period of twelve years and seven months. This large sized book is the report of their quest. The reader is taken on a journey through ordinary, yet oddly fascinating places, while discovering various leitmotifs in the man-made landscape.
