‘Täglich’ combines the idea of public buildings and spaces with the concept of a common good. Cities are places of diversity, and having inclusive public spaces for people to meet and interact increases trust, participation, creation, and collaboration. Distilling the findings from four years of research on built public space and everyday interaction in the city, the University of Stuttgart’s Department of Urban Planning and Design presents discourses from various disciplines. Using text, images, and models to showcase projects designed for Stuttgart, as well as references from all over the world, they showcase how the ‘täglich’ is both a space of possibilities and critical urban infrastructure.
