A look through Norman Foster’s very own lens, this book offers a selection of 135 slides captured by the architect on 35mm film between 1961 and 2000. The images provide a record of Foster’s many interests and passions, from architecture and the arts to cityscapes, design, machines, aircraft, cars, and more. Also showcased are his travels and visits to iconic architectural sites as well as buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier, among others. Inspired by a display of these photographs at a Centre Pompidou exhibition in Paris in 2023, the book brings together a spontaneous and eclectic mixture of images – visual memories that give insight into his creative process.
